  WY's Narber loses in the ultimate tie-breaker in ot, 5-4 to Wilps of Char. Valley
  in the quarter-finals.  Narber loses another close one, 7-6 to Sevi in Consie's.

     2/23/13 ∙ PIAA State Qualifier ∙ Kyle Narber @ 170lbs.  DIII SC Region 4th.
  WY's last 3 DIII Medalist's: Todd Lehman 4th '04, Billy Randt 2nd '10, & Narber.

     02/16/13 ∙ WY's Noah Townsley, Garrett Stauffer & Kyle Narber - 2nd
  @ YAIAA AAA Section V Tourney.  WY's Jacob Gemmill, 4th.  Team - 6th Place.

     01/25/13 ∙ West York's Noah Townsley gains a spot on Dual Meet Team
  Points Record List!  Townsley, with a 17-2 - '12-'13 dual meet record, posted
  74 team points - which is a tie for 11th on West York Records List (best year).
  Townsley is a 10th grader.  Other top WY records were Kyle Narber 15-4 -
  w/63 pts.; Garrett Stauffer 16-2 - w/58 pts. & Jacob Gemmill 11-2 - w/49 pts.
     01/24/13 ∙ West York HS (10-9) beats Susquehannock HS... 58-12.
   ▪ 01/24/13 - West York HS posted falls from Allen Stauffer, Ryan Narber,
  Jacob Oliver and Jacob Gemmill in the win.  Noah Townsley added a major

   ▪ 01/22/13 - West York HS posted falls from Jacob Oliver, Zack Smith,
  Jared Gemmill and Alex Raffensberger in the win.  Adding technical falls were
  Noah Townsley and Jacob Gemmill.  Decisions were posted by Ryan Narber

   ▪ 01/19/13 - West York HS won the E-Town "Big E" Challenge with 241pts.
  Lower Dauphin was 2nd with 225pts.  Other teams in the challenge included
  Milton Hershey, Eastern York, Elizabethtown, JP McCaskey, Greencastle-

     01/15/13 ∙ West York HS's Jacob Oliver delivers win over Dover HS!
   ▪ 01/15/13 - West York HS posted falls from Zack Smith, Noah Townsley
  and a closing fall in 3:33 by 152lb. Jacob Oliver... to gain a 34-31 win over
  Dover HS.  WY's Garrett Stauffer secured a major decision.  Jacob Gemmill
  and Allen Stauffer added decisions for the Bulldogs in posting their 8th win.

     01/12/13 ∙ West York HS gains 2nd Place @ the David Costabile Duals!!
   ▪ 01/12/13 - West York Head Coach, Brian Gross... reports that his WY
  Team finished 2nd at the D. Costabile Duals... losing early to Lampeter
  Strasburg, 34-28... then, defeating Bishop McDevitt HS 51-13 and ELCO
  45-33.  Then, WY took on the other pool runner-up, Annville Cleona - winning
  49-24.  In the match for 1st, West York lost to Blue Mountain, 41-24.

     01/10/13 ∙ West York HS 42 Kennard Dale HS 31 @ Kennard Dale HS.
   ▪ 01/10/13 - West York (4-7)... posted 2 falls, a tech. fall, a major decision,
  a decision and three forfeits in a YAIAA win over Kennard Dale High School.
  WY's 152lb. Garrett Stauffer and 220lb.  Jacob Gemmill posted the falls while

     01/09/13 ∙ Spring Grove HS 46 West York HS 19 @ West York Area HS.
   ▪ 01/09/13 - West York lost to Spring Grove, 46-19... but posted five wins.
  WY's 152lb. Garrett Stauffer pinned Spring Grove's very tough, Mason Bentzel
  in 3:47 with a cradle.  Noah Townsley, Zack Smith, Kyle Narber and Jacob
  Gemmill added decisions for the Bulldogs.  Z. Smith's win was in overtime.
   ▪ West York HS's record falls to 3-7 for the 2012-13 dual mat season.

                     ▪ 1/6/13 ∙ West York @ Lock Haven University Wrestling Clinic
     01/06/13 ∙ from Jim Townsley... "The entire day was outstanding...
  we arrived @ Lock Haven around 11:00am and we were welcomed by LHU
  Head Wrestling Coach, Robbie Waller and his staff - Scott Moore, Brad Pataky,
  and Matt Bonson.  Also. LHU wrestlers were there to greet us including West
  York's Billy Randt and Dallastown's Phil Sprenkle.  The clinic by Brad Pataky
  started @ 11:30am and ran until 1:00pm.  Our kids really enjoyed the clinic!!
  The dual meet between Lock Haven University and West Virginia University
  came down to the last match... (149lbs.) which LHU won to secure the win!"

     01/05/13 ∙ Dallastown HS 55 West York HS 16 @ Dallastown Area HS.
   ▪ 01/05/13 - West York lost to Dallastown, 55-16 notching only three wins
  with two falls and a major decision.  WY's Zack Smith (9-6) and Jacob
  Gemmill (3-1) gained the falls while WY's Noah Townsley (11-4) secured a
  12-3 major decision.  West York's record falls to 3-6 for the 2012-13 season.

     01/03/13 - The West York Wrestling Booster Club, headed by Jeff Stauffer
  and Jim Townsley... welcomed some former West York Wrestlers and
  Coaches for recognition before the West York/South Western Varsity Meet.
  Headed by National Hall of Fame Coach John T. Toggas as the anchor, I also
  saw Gary Narber, Mike Stambaugh, Skip Martin, Randy Blasdell, Bob Narber,
  Tom Toggas, Wilmer Pressel, Eric Lehman, Chad Gardner,  K.C. McCleary,
  Justin Wilkins, Cody Martin, Ted Turnbull, Kyle Stauffer, Barry Gay...
  @ Alumni Night and some others I don't remember @ my old age!   Don Lehman

     01/03/13 ∙ South Western HS 44  West York HS 18 - WY Alumni Night.
   ▪ 01/03/13 - West York lost to South Western, 44-18 on a night when the WY
  head coach was out sick... and a tough wrestling team came to the WY gym!
  WY's Noah Townsley decisioned Brandon Huff, 2-1 for the first WY points...
  and Garrett Stauffer followed up a couple matches later with a 5-2 decision
  over Bobby Wildasin.  West York won the final two matches by fall with Zack
  Smith pinning Brady Schultz in 3:14 and Kyle Narber pinning Aaron Custer

     12/27/12 ∙ West York Junior High's Danny Myers finished 1st @ Dallastown
  Invitational Tournament!  Nathan Gardner finished 2nd...Nathan Townsley and
  Tyler Stauffer - 3rd.  Giovanni Giambanco was 4th and Paul Boiser finished 5th.
  David Pressel was 6th.  West York Junior High Team finished 8th (of 17 teams).

  Tourney.  West York Area HS place-winners included Sam Sterner 8th, Noah

  * West York Area High School secured a nice win over rival Central York with
  falls from recent AAA Football All-State Receiver (1st Teamer) - Zack Smith...
  Alex Raffensberger and Hunter Scheivert.  Adding major decisions for the
  Bulldogs were Cole Rinehart, Noah Townsley, Garrett Stauffer and Kyle Narber.
  West York's Ryan Narber added an 11-6 decision and Austin Denoncourt won
  by forfeit at 285lbs.  WY's next stop is the Governor Mifflin Tourney.  Updates
