2/21/10 Nittany Lion Club State College Tourney Results
Jim Townsley reports that West York Elementary and Junior High had six wrestlers
compete in the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club Tournament.  Our kids - all met the "legend"
Cael Sanderson... and caught up with former Columbia HS PIAA State runner-up and
PSU wrestler, Aaron Anspach.
∙ Wrestling in the Elementary division for West York were: Nathan Townsley (0-2),
Allen Stauffer (1-2) and Ryan Narber (3-2).
∙ Wrestling in the Junior High division for West York were: Noah Townsley (2-2),
Garrett Stauffer (3-2) and Kyle Narber (3-1).  Kyle gained a 3rd place trophy!

Garrett Stauffer wins Hanover YMCA Tourney!
2/20/10 - from Coach Kyle Miller - West York Elementary and West York
Junior High wrestlers had success at the 29th Annual Hanover Area Family
YMCA Wrestling Tournament at Hanover Senior High School.  Trophies were
awarded to the top four place-winners.  Placing for West York Wrestling were:
Hunter Scheivert - 4th, Tyler Sweeney - 4th, Ryan Narber - 4th, Allen Stauffer - 4th,
Kyle Narber - 2nd, Garrett Stauffer - 1st, Danny Myers - 4th, Mike Messersmith - 4th,
Brandon Carter - 4th.  Also competing for West York - Nathan Gardner & Gavin Toomey.

Allen Stauffer, Nathan Gardner win Susquenita Youth Tourney!
2/14/10 - from Chad Toomey - West York Elementary Wrestling traveled to Duncannon,
PA to wrestle in the Susquenita Youth Wrestling Tournament.  West York Youth grapplers
had two champions - Allen Stauffer and Nathan Gardner!  Ryan Narber finished third and
Brandon Carter notched a fourth at Susquenita High School.  Excellent!  SUS BRACKETS

Allen Stauffer wins Spring Grove Papertown Pinners Tourney!
2/13/10 - from Chad Toomey - West York Elementary Wrestling had success at the
2/13/10 Spring Grove Papertown Pinners Tournament with WY's Allen Stauffer taking
first place, as well as being awarded the SG outstanding wrestler trophy!  West York
Youth grapplers finishing second at SG were... Ryan Narber, Danny Myers and Nathan
Heberlig.  Nathan Gardner finished fourth.  Great job by all!  SG RESULTS

∙ 12/15/09 - from Shelly/Bob Narber - WY Elementary Wrestling had 3 wrestlers travel
to the Shamokin Tournament on 12/5/09 and ALL 3 wrestlers came home with 1st
place trophies!  6th graders - Ryan Narber, Allen Stauffer & Nathan Gardner all secured
wins in the Shamokin Round Robin!  Congratulations gentlemen!  Good luck this season!
